


On September 29, 2025, SUMEC MARINE and Shanghai Jinjiang Shipping (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jinjiang Shipping") officially signed a construction contract for 2+2 1100TEU container vessels in Nanjing. This collaboration represents not only a strategic move by both parties to respond to the global trend of feeder shipping development but also an important milestone for SUMEC MARINE in its deep cultivation of the small- and medium-sized container vessel market. It marks a new stage in the synergy between the domestic shipbuilding and shipping enterprises in the area of feeder capacity upgrades. Leaders such as Liu Tao, Vice President of Shanghai International Port Group; Shen Wei, Party Secretary and Chairman of Jinjiang Shipping; Chen Yan, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of Jinjiang Shipping; and He Jun, Assistant General Manager of SUMEC Corporation, Party Secretary and Chairman of SUMEC MARINE, attended and witnessed the event.

The signing of the contract for 2+2 1100TEU vessel types comes at a critical juncture when global feeder shipping is undergoing rapid evolution. With the deepening of regional trade under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the development of regionalized supply chains, the partnership between SUMEC MARINE and Jinjiang Shipping will not only inject new vitality into Asian feeder transportation but also set an example for collaborative innovation in the shipbuilding and shipping industries. In the future, the two parties will take vessels as a link to explore more possibilities in areas such as green shipping and cross-border services, jointly writing a new chapter in building a shipping powerhouse that aligns with the domestic and international dual-circulation strategy.
