On January 19, SUMEC MARINE, together with NEW DAYANG, held a naming ceremony for the first two CROWN 82 series bulk carriers, "Fortune Olive" and "Fortune Queen," built for CIDO SHIPPING, at the foreign affairs wharf. Mr. Ma In, Vice President of CIDO SHIPPING, HE Jun, Deputy General Manager of SUMEC Group and Secretary of the Party Committee & Chairman of SUMEC MARINE, and Mr. Ezekiel Davis, Global Vice President of ABS, along with other leaders and guests, attended the ceremony.

The CROWN 82 bulk carriers delivered this time represent another significant achievement of the proprietary CROWN brand. The vessel type fully incorporates the advanced design concepts and technological expertise of the CROWN series, optimized for operational characteristics. With a cargo hold capacity approaching 100,000 cubic meters—the largest among similar vessel types—it combines high speed with low fuel consumption. Its Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) exceeds Phase 3 requirements by more than 3 percentage points, significantly enhancing cargo adaptability and operational economy.
Since the restructuring of NEW DAYANG, SUMEC MARINE has continuously strengthened its vessel brand development. The previously successfully developed CROWN 63 Version 3.0 has delivered 57 vessels, with 63 vessels in hand, receiving positive market response. With the successful delivery of the CROWN 82 and the upcoming launch of the CROWN 40 vessel type, SUMEC MARINE has gradually built a serialized product matrix covering 40,000 to 80,000 deadweight tons—CROWN 40, CROWN 63, and CROWN 82—further consolidating the brand competitiveness of the CROWN series in the global mid-sized bulk carrier market.
