Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new block assembly workshop of the comprehensive technical transformation project of NEW DAYANG, a subsidiary of SUMEC MARINE, was grandly held in Yangzhou. Zhang Xiaolun, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of SINOMACH; Wang Jinjian, Secretary of the Yangzhou Municipal Committee; Zhang Wei, Secretary of the Guangling District Committee of Yangzhou; Yang Yongqing, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of SUMEC Group; Guo Ye, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of China United Engineering Corporation; as well as leaders and guests from China Shipbuilding NDRI Engineering Corporation, China Ocean Engineering & Construction General Bureau, and other relevant units, attended the event and participated in the foundation-laying ceremony. He Jun, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of SUMEC Group, and Secretary of the Party Committee & Chairman of SUMEC MARINE, presided over the ceremony.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, Yang Yongqing delivered a welcome speech. He noted that the comprehensive technical transformation project of NEW DAYANG has been included in the list of major projects of Jiangsu Province. This project is not only an important milestone in the company's transformation and upgrading but also a vivid practice of central-local cooperation and joint progress. SUMEC MARINE will strictly adhere to safety standards, maintain high quality, and advance the project with high standards to ensure its timely completion and effectiveness, striving to contribute more to SINOMACH's goal of building a world-class enterprise and to the construction of a shipbuilding powerhouse.

In his speech, Zhang Wei affirmed the achievements made by NEW DAYANG since its establishment, stating that the implementation of the new project will inject strong momentum into the economic development of Guangling District. The district will continue to optimize the business environment, fully support the project construction, and jointly promote the upgrading of the shipbuilding and marine equipment industry chain.

Zhang Xiaolun and his delegation also witnessed two important events: the naming and delivery of the Version 3.0 Crown 63 bulk carrier NDY1303 at NEW DAYANG, and the awarding of the main delivery of the underwater section slipway repair project of the No. 2 berth. These activities comprehensively reviewed the company's achievements in production, operation, and engineering construction.
