On April 3, the dock of Xindayang Shipyard under SUMEC MARINE was adorned with colorful banners as the company celebrated the naming and delivery ceremony for the first Crown 63 PLUS bulk carrier built for a UAE shipowner. The event was attended by the President of the Shipowner Group, the Assistant General Manager of the company, HE JUN (Chairman of SUMEC MARINE), Xu Gang (Vice Chairman of SUMEC MARINE), Xu Bin (General Manager of SUMEC MARINE), and other key guests.
This vessel marks the first of a six-ship series for the shipowner and is also the 133rd Crown 63 series bulk carrier delivered by New Dayang Shipyard. After multiple iterations, the Crown 63 series has evolved into a classic brand in the ULTRAMAX vessel segment, winning global market recognition. The newly delivered UAE-customized model features enhanced inner bottom plate structures, significantly improving flexibility in transporting hot-rolled steel coils—a testament to SUMEC MARINE’s innovation philosophy of "product branding and series configuration."
As an active participant in the Belt and Road Initiative, SUMEC MARINE has established in-depth cooperation with countries along the route, including the UAE, Egypt, and Bulgaria. In the future, we will adhere to the development path of "greening, intelligence, and high-end", take high-end shipbuilding as the carrier, continuously deepen international cooperation, and inject new momentum into the construction of a maritime power.
